A: The main lesson studio is located in Kingsport, TN in the Preston Woods area (near the Exchange Place!), where Asher offers Drum Lessons, Guitar Lessons, Bass Lessons, Piano Lessons, Ukulele Lessons, and Full-Band Lessons. We also have instructors in Knoxville, Elisabeth who teaches Violin Lessons.
Q: Does CHW Studios provide online lessons?
A: Yes! We typically use Zoom for Online Music Lessons, which are available to anyone, anywhere.
Q: When should I start music lessons for my child?
A: Between ages 3 and 5 is a great time to get started - along with building a musical foundation early in life, it will help them develop critical thinking and problem solving skills.
Q: Am I too old to start music lessons?
A: Absolutely not. The oldest students we’ve taught are between 65 and 70, and if they can stick with it and make progress, so can you!
Q: Why are music lessons so important?
A: First of all, playing music is FUN. We believe it’s possible to have a ton of fun while improving skills such as: listening, reading, motor skills, math, social skills - all while creating something beautiful!
Q: What do I need to get started with lessons?
A: Just an instrument! We provide curriculum AND videos that are tailored to what you’re learning, starting with the basics and always building toward your musical goals.

Q: What other services do you provide?
A: We help produce a number of podcasts as well as offering recording time for bands. We will also record instruments for your songs if you are looking for session players!
Q: What do music lessons cost at CHW?
A: Our standard Lesson package is $110 per month throughout the year for 30-minute lessons, following the local school calendar. Band Lessons are $60 per month per student.
